Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg has instructed all senior officials to ensure expeditious responses to DO (Demi-Official) letters received from Union Secretaries.
She emphasised that Odisha is at a pivotal stage of its growth trajectory and stronger Centre–State coordination will be vital for sustaining momentum.
In her note, Garg underlined that replies to critical issues must be sent personally within seven days. She urged departments to process DO letters promptly and, if required, hold discussions during designated slots to avoid delays.

The Chief Secretary highlighted that a symbiotic relationship between the Centre and State will form the bedrock of Odisha’s success. Timely communication, she said, will help strengthen cooperation on policy matters, infrastructure, and development priorities.
The directive was circulated to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Commissioner-cum-Secretaries. Officials have been asked to treat DO letters as priority correspondence and ensure early action.
