Odisha Assembly witnessed chaos today as opposition legislators disrupted proceedings over the issue of gas shortage in the state.
Speaker Surama Padhy adjourned the House till 11:30 am after repeated uproar.
Opposition members stormed the well of the House, raising slogans and holding placards. They accused the government of ignoring the crisis and demanded immediate intervention. Their protest forced the Speaker to halt the Question Hour.
The uproar began soon after the session opened. Legislators shouted slogans and displayed placards highlighting the gas shortage. Despite repeated appeals for order, the protests continued. The Speaker then announced adjournment until 11:30 am.
