Uproar marked the start of proceedings in the Odisha Assembly on Monday as Opposition members raised slogans demanding withdrawal of the MMDR amendment.
Opposition members staged a protest near the Speaker’s podium, disrupting the proceedings shortly after the House assembled.
Amid the continued protest, the Speaker adjourned the House till 11:30 AM.
The MMDR amendment has emerged as a major point of contention during the ongoing Monsoon Session, with the Opposition repeatedly raising concerns over its implications for Odisha.
