Polling concluded on November 11 with nearly 83 per cent voter turnout. Consequently, political camps started calculations, speculating on who would claim the crown of victory and who would face defeat. The outcome will decide which party secures Nuapada and sets the tone for 2029.
BJD leaders argued that voters supported development and expressed faith in Naveen Patnaik. They asserted that the BJD candidate will secure overwhelming votes. Meanwhile, BJP leaders countered with confidence, stating that Nuapada wants change and the party will emerge victorious. They argued that the region will become the foundation of transformation in Odisha.
Congress leaders projected their candidate, Ghasiram Majhi, as a strong contender. They described him as a farmer’s leader who continues to fight for agricultural development. Moreover, they insisted that voters backed him and that the party would win.
The administration prepared extensively for counting. CRPF personnel secured the National College campus, and officials confirmed that arrangements will manage the process smoothly.
