Bhubaneswar: People don’t have to pay user fee for using public and community toilets in urban areas across the State.
The State government has waived the user fee towards the use of community toilets and urged the public to lodge complaint with ‘Mo Sahar Sarkar’ Helpline number if they are asked to pay.
In a letter to Commissioners of all Municipal Corporations, Executive Officers of all Municipalities and NACs , the Housing and Urban Development department asked to put display mentioning fee waiver.
The display should be made through various modes such as wall-paintings, display Boards etc. for creating awareness among the users that, no “USER FEE” is required to be paid for use of the public toilet.
The expenditure towards the purpose would be met out of SBM (Urban) fund under IEC component available with the ULBs in the State Nodal Account.
