Odisha will not experience rainfall for the next seven days, according to the state weather centre.
Director Manorama Mohanty informed that a low-pressure system has formed over the South Andaman Sea. She noted that the system will intensify into a deep depression within 24 hours and later transform into a cyclone. However, she clarified that the cyclone will not have any direct impact on Odisha.
The forecast indicates cloudy skies in some areas, while the overall winter effect will remain mild. From tomorrow, temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, bringing a stronger sense of cold across the state.
Officials emphasised that residents should not fear heavy rainfall during this period. Instead, the weather pattern will shift toward cooler conditions, marking the onset of winter.
The update reassures people across Odisha that despite the cyclone formation over the Andaman Sea, the state will remain unaffected by its direct impact.
