The National Informatics Centre (NIC) of Odisha has been honoured with the “Excellence in Digital Governance” award for the DEPMOS project, which stands for Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing – Online Services.
DEPMOS is an e-Governance initiative launched by the Government of Odisha, developed and implemented by NIC to digitise and streamline the services provided by the Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing (DEPM) under the MSME Department.
This project aims to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by automating crucial processes such as registration, rate contracts, and inspections. As a result, DEPMOS has significantly improved service delivery, reduced turnaround times, and enhanced transparency in government procurement and marketing for MSMEs in Odisha.
The award was presented at the 19th Digital Transformation Conclave & Awards by Major General Shri Manjeet Singh, SM, Joint Secretary (Cyber) at the National Security Council Secretariat, Government of India, and Manas Ranjan Panda, Managing Director of OCAC and Special Secretary of the Electronics & IT Department, Government of Odisha. Mohammed Mojibullah Khan, Director of IT at NIC Odisha, accepted the award.
This recognition is a testament to the innovation, dedication, and transformation in the field of Digital Governance.
