New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for anyone providing information leading to the arrest of Canada-based terrorist Goldy Brar and another accused wanted in an “extortion and firing” case in Chandigarh.
The authorities have issued a bounty against Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar and Gurpreet Singh alias Goldy Dhillon alias Goldy Rajpura. Both individuals are residents of Punjab.
According to official sources, a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh is offered for any information leading to the apprehension and arrest of either suspect. The informant’s identity will be kept confidential, the agency assured.
These two accused individuals are wanted in connection with a case (RC-03/2024/NIA/DLI) related to firing at a businessman’s house during an extortion attempt on March 8 of this year. The case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and the Arms Act against both Goldy Brar and Gurpreet Singh.
