A high-level fact-finding committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, for the incident relating to the Nepali student’s suicide at KIIT University.
The Odisha government has taken immediate action following the incident, which involved allegations of misconduct and the use of force against students by private individuals.
The government has arrested security guards and suspended officials involved in the incident. A High-Level Fact Finding Committee has been constituted to investigate the matter, consisting of the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Principal Secretary, Women & Child Development Department, and Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Higher Education Department. The Committee will determine the appropriate legal and administrative actions based on their findings.
