Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday inquired about the health condition of Leader of Opposition Pradipta Naik, who is undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar after being tested positive for COVID-19 infection.
According to the CMO, the doctors in AIIMS briefed the Chief Minister that Naik is currently COVID-19 negative. However, there is widespread inflammation and lung infection, because of which, he is on ventilator support and his condition is serious.
The Odisha CM wished for speedy recovery of Naik and further requested the hospital authorities to provide him best health care. Patnaik also assured of all support from the state government for the treatment of Naik.
AIIMS Director Geetanjali Batmanabane has thanked the State government for all the support in the treatment of Naik, especially the timely support of critical medicines.
