The General Administration and Public Grievance Department celebrated National Unity Day at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, marking Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary with a pledge ceremony.
Officers and staff from various departments actively participated in the event. They took a solemn oath to uphold the nation’s unity, integrity, and security. Their collective presence reflected a strong commitment to national values.
The ceremony paid tribute to the legacy of Sardar Patel, widely known as the “Iron Man of India.” His leadership and foresight played a crucial role in integrating the country post-independence. Participants recited the National Unity Day pledge with conviction, reinforcing their dedication to preserving unity and promoting national integration.
Additional Chief Secretary Surendra Kumar led the pledge. He highlighted the importance of staying true to the ideals of unity and internal security. He also encouraged all officials to spread this message among citizens and remain vigilant in their duties.
Senior officers, sub-divisional officials, and staff from multiple branches joined the ceremony. They pledged to serve the nation with integrity and responsibility, aligning their work with the principles of unity and public service.
