The State Botanical Garden, Nandankanan, achieved remarkable success at the Annual Garden Competition and Flower Show–2026, organised by the Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC), securing a total of 35 prizes across multiple categories.

In the potted plant displays, Nandankanan won top prizes for Dieffenbachia, mixed varieties, Bougainvillaea, Floribunda rose, miniature rose, bonsai, succulents, and several mixed plant arrangements. The garden also earned merit and second prizes in foliage plants, adenium, chrysanthemums, and miniature gardens.

In the cut flower category, Nandankanan secured first prizes for small chrysanthemum and red hybrid tea rose. Additional awards includeda large chrysanthemum, zinnia, and a yellow hybrid tea rose.

In the garden and landscape displays, the institution received first prizes for the Nursery (State Botanical Garden), Bambusetum, Waste Management Garden, and Orchid House. It also won second and third prizes for the Glass House, Rose Garden, Guest House gardens, Evolution Garden, Bonsai Garden, Medicinal Plant Garden, Cactus House, Hydrophyte Garden, Mughal Garden, and Butterfly Garden.

This outstanding performance highlights Nandankanan’s excellence in horticulture, landscape design, and aesthetic presentation. It reflects the dedication, technical expertise, and teamwork of the staff of the State Botanical Garden and the Horticulture Wing of Nandankanan.
