Jharsuguda: With the end of remand of accused Gopal Das in Naba Das murder case, a local court today allowed the Crime Branch to conduct narco analysis and polygraph test of the prime accused of high profile murder case.
The JMFC Brajrajnagar has also extended the remand period of Gopal by five more days.
The Crime Branch investigating the sensational crime moved to the court seeking extension of remand as the four days remand of Gopal Das came to an end today. The probe team also prayed the court for narco and lie detection test.
Gopal also gave green signal to undergo the narco and polygraph test, reports said.
As part of the investigation, the CB had on Tuesday recreated the crime scene at the spot in Brajrajnagar. The accused had showed the crime scene with a toy gun. He had showed how he shot at the minister and fled by brandishing gun at crowd.
He was asked by the investigating team to demonstrate the scene for at least four times. The entire process was video-recorded for documentation. A drone was also used to shoot the scene.
DGP Sunil Bansal, Justice JP who is supervising the investigation also visited Jharsuguda to take stock of the situation and review the investigation progress.
