Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday launched an innovative campaign to commemorate Mother’s Day 2025.
The initiative invites participants to share heartfelt selfies with their mothers, expressing love and admiration. The contest will run from May 6 to May 10, with winners honoured on May 11, coinciding with the official Mother’s Day celebration.
Participants can take a selfie with their mothers and post it on social media using the hashtags #MoBou, #WCDOdisha, and #MothersDay, along with a heartfelt message. The three most heartwarming selfies, along with their accompanying messages from Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter), will be chosen as winners. These winners will receive attractive prizes, and their photos will be featured on the department’s official social media accounts.
The celebration will take place at Ekamra Haat in Bhubaneswar on May 11, where winners can claim their prizes by presenting valid identification. Additionally, various fun games will be organised exclusively for mothers. Mothers who wish to participate can register on-site at Ekamra Haat at 3 PM on May 11 to join in these enjoyable activities. Winners will be recognised during the event.
The department encourages many mothers to take part in this special celebration and help make it a memorable occasion.
