Teja Sajja’s action-fantasy film Mirai, directed by Karthik Gattamneni, continues its triumphant run at the box office, collecting Rs 61.50 crore in India within just six days of release.
The film, which opened to glowing reviews, has also crossed the Rs 100 crore mark globally, cementing its place as one of the year’s biggest hits.
Audiences have praised Mirai for its grand visual effects, gripping storyline, and immersive fantasy elements. The film opened at Rs 13 crore and peaked on its first Sunday with Rs 16.6 crore. Despite a slight dip during weekdays, it maintained strong momentum thanks to minimal competition in theatres and positive word-of-mouth.
At a celebratory event in Hyderabad, lead actor Teja Sajja addressed concerns about piracy, urging fans to experience the film in cinemas. “You’re missing out on an experience if you don’t watch it in theatres,” he said, emphasizing the importance of audience support.
Mirai had a 9.51% Hindi occupancy on Wednesday, showing its pan-India appeal. With continued buzz and fan enthusiasm, the film is expected to maintain its box office dominance heading into the weekend.
