A tribal girl was allegedly gang-raped after attending a jatra event in the Laxmipur area of Koraput district.
Four suspects have been detained following a complaint filed on Monday.
As per reports, the girl, from Paradiguda village, was abducted by a group of youths while returning home from the Budhi Thakurani festival in Biriguda village on Saturday night.
She managed to escape and reported the incident to her parents, who then contacted the police. Authorities have started an investigation and are conducting the girl’s medical examination while questioning the detained suspects.
