Keonjhar: Police here have arrested four persons for allegedly raping a minor girl of Jalananda village in the district today.
The arrested persons have been identified as Meda Naik, Chugulu Naik, Balia Naik, and Kuna Naik.
According to reports, the incident occurred on December 29 when the minor had gone to attend nature’s call. Meanwhile, the accused persons abducted the victim and took her to an isolated place where they outraged her modesty.
After the matter came to light, the family members of the minor girl lodged a complaint at the local police station. Based on the complaint, police launched a probe into the matter and arrested the culprits under relevant sections of IPC.
