A powerful explosion rocked Jiakata-Chhatrapur village in Puruna Cuttack area of Boudh district on Sunday morning, killing one person and critically injuring five others.
The blast, suspected to have been triggered by illegally stored firecrackers, caused the roof of a residential building to collapse and damaged several nearby structures.
