East Coast Railway (ECoR) will operate 132 Holi Special Trains to ensure smooth travel during the upcoming festival season.

In addition, 150 more Holi Specials from across India will pass through ECoR’s jurisdiction, boosting passenger capacity during the rush.

The special trains will run from the last week of February until the end of March 2026, covering high-demand routes. Originating services include Bhubaneswar–Yesvantpur, Bhubaneswar–Dhanbad, Sambalpur–Erode, and Puri–Patna. From Visakhapatnam, trains will head to Tirupati, Shalimar, Cherlapalli, and SMVT Bengaluru.

Apart from originating trains, 150 additional Holi Specials from cities such as Delhi, Patna, Ernakulam, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram will pass through ECoR stations, further enhancing connectivity.

To manage crowds, ECoR has set up holding areas at Bhubaneswar, Puri, Sambalpur, Brahmapur, and Visakhapatnam. Regulated entry, queuing arrangements, and barricading will ensure orderly boarding. Extra Railway Protection Force personnel and commercial staff will guide passengers and maintain discipline.

Enhanced sanitation measures include intensive cleaning drives at stations and onboard trains. Platforms, waiting halls, and toilets will be cleaned regularly, with additional housekeeping staff deployed. Drinking water and functional washrooms will be ensured.

Senior railway officials are monitoring operations in real time to maintain punctuality. Quick response teams are on standby to address emergencies. Passengers are advised to check schedules, timings, and seat availability through official railway enquiry systems and IRCTC before planning journeys.
