Australians Hannah Green and Minjee Lee surged to the top of the leaderboard at the HSBC Women’s World Championship after three rounds, holding a one-stroke lead at 11-under 205.

Green, the 2019 Women’s PGA Championship winner and 2024 Singapore champion, carded a 4-under 68. Lee, a three-time major winner, followed with a 69. Their consistent play at Sentosa Golf Club placed them ahead of American Angel Yin and South Korea’s Haeran Ryu, both tied for third at 10-under.

Yin briefly took the lead with a birdie on the 10th hole, overtaking fellow American Auston Kim, who had led after the first two rounds. Kim faltered with consecutive bogeys on the seventh and eighth holes but salvaged a 20-foot bogey putt. She finished with a 73, dropping to tied sixth at 8-under.

Green acknowledged the challenge of the course, noting the fine balance between birdie opportunities and bogey risks. Lee emphasised focusing on her own game, highlighting her strong approach play while maintaining composure alongside her compatriot and friend.

With one round remaining, the championship promises a thrilling finish as top contenders battle for victory in Singapore.
