The Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Bhadrak arrested one individual today for stone pelting on the Howrah-bound 12074 Jan Shatabdi Express.
The incident, reported at approximately 8:15 AM via Rail Madad, involved a cracked window in Coach D/13 between Randia Boudpur and Bhadrak stations. Fortunately, no passengers were injured.
Following the complaint received by the Divisional Security Control, Khurda Road, the RPF acted promptly. The Inspector-in-Charge, RPF Bhadrak, led a trackside search operation in the affected section, resulting in the detention and subsequent arrest of the suspect. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Railway Act, and the accused will be presented before the SDJM Court in Bhadrak for further legal proceedings.
The RPF has urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities through Rail Madad or the Railway Helpline Number 139.
