An unidentified man tragically lost his life after reportedly falling from a moving train near Rayagada district in Odisha.

The incident came to light on Wednesday morning when railway staff spotted a lifeless body between kilometer markers 340/20-21 on the Rayagada–Singapore Road up-line.

Following the discovery, the Government Railway Police (GRP) were informed and promptly arrived at the scene. The body was recovered and sent to Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. Authorities have stated that the body will be kept in the mortuary for 96 hours in hopes of identification.

No identification documents were found on the deceased, leading police to suspect that the individual may have fallen from a late-night train. Investigations are ongoing to determine the identity and circumstances surrounding the death.
