Deogarh: A man was beaten to death at Suguda village under Deogarh police station limits in the district. The deceased has been identified as Dhir Sahu (48) from the same village.
As per reports, a villager spotted Dhir, who had gone for a couple of hours, in a pool of blood and alerted his son about the same. Dhir’s son reached the spot along with his cousin and rushed his father to a nearby hospital in a critical condition. However, the doctor declared him ‘brought dead’.
Following this, Dhir’s family members lodged a complaint with the local police station.
On the basis of the FIR, police registered a case and sent the body for post mortem. Later, the cops launched a probe and detained a person for interrogation in this regard.
