Major Reshuffle in OAS Cadre: Odisha Govt Reassigns 29 Senior Officers

In a significant administrative overhaul, the Odisha Government has reshuffled 29 senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers, aiming to enhance governance efficiency across key sectors.


The transfers, effective immediately, place experienced officials in leadership roles to streamline operations within revenue and district administration.

Key Appointments Include:

  • Birsen Pradhan and Sukanta Kumar Behera as Secretaries to the Revenue Divisional Commissioners in Berhampur (South) and Cuttack (Central).

  • Lipsa Das, Siona Mishra, and Kanak Champa Meher assumed positions as Additional Commissioners in Higher Education, the Board of Revenue, and Land Records & Settlement.

  • Additional District Magistrates assigned to Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Ganjam, Koraput, Nayagarh, and Gajapati to strengthen local administration.

  • Officers appointed to leadership roles in Odisha State Beverages Corporation Limited (OSBCL), District Urban Development Agency (DUDA), Zilla Parishads, and Balangir Municipality.

This reshuffle reflects the government’s commitment to improving administrative efficiency and service delivery across the state.
