Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik has paid tribute to veteran BJD leader and former minister Ananta Das.

In his X, Shri Patnaik posted, “I am saddened to learn of the passing away of senior party leader and former minister Anant Das. His long service to the people as a public representative will always be remembered. I extend my condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of grief and pray for the eternal peace of his soul”.


ଦଳର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ନେତା ତଥା ପୂର୍ବତନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଅନନ୍ତ ଦାସଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ଜନପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଭାବେ ଦୀର୍ଘଦିନ ଧରି ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସେବାରେ ତାଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସର୍ବଦା ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ ରହିବ। ଏପରି ଦୁଃଖଦ ସମୟରେ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଇବା ସହ ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରୁଛି।

ଦଳର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ସଦସ୍ୟ ଅନନ୍ତ ଦାସଙ୍କ ପାର୍ଥିବ ଶରୀରକୁ ଶେଷ ଦର୍ଶନ କରି ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଞ୍ଜଳି ଜଣାଇଲି। ଲୋକଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟରେ ସେ ସର୍ବଦା ଅମର ହୋଇ ରହିବେ। pic.twitter.com/eNtIuhYyCT

Paying deep tributes to Ananta Das, Shri Patnaik said that Das was an efficient organizer, experienced administrator, and a popular politician. As a minister in the Odisha government, he served in important departments like industry and higher education, making significant contributions to the state’s development. He also served as the district president of Biju Janata Dal in Balasore.

“In his demise, the state has lost an experienced politician, and Biju Janata Dal has lost a dedicated organizer,” said Shri Patnaik.

Wishing the departed soul peace, Shri Patnaik expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
