The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain or thundershowers in several parts of Odisha on Sunday due to a trough in westerlies that extends from south Gangetic West Bengal to north coastal Andhra Pradesh at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
According to the IMD bulletin, light rain or thundershowers are expected at one or two places in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Mayurbhanj. The rest of the districts are likely to experience dry weather.
The Met Department has issued an orange warning for thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface winds in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Keonjhar.
