A major gunfight erupted in the Zinpather Keller area of Shopian today, resulting in the elimination of a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist.

Security forces, acting on intelligence inputs, engaged the militants in a fierce exchange of fire. Two other Lashkar terrorists are believed to be trapped as the encounter continues.

Adding to the ongoing security operations, authorities have displayed “Terror Free Kashmir” posters featuring three Pakistani terrorists allegedly involved in the April 22 Pahalgam attack. A ₹20 lakh reward has been announced for credible information on their whereabouts.
