TV actor Karishma Tanna and her husband, businessman Varun Bangera, have revealed the name of their first child, nearly six weeks after welcoming their baby boy.
The couple introduced their son as Ved Tanna Bangera in a joint social media post on the occasion of Janmashtami. The name combines both of their surnames and carries a strong connection to Hindu spiritual tradition.

Sharing the announcement, Karishma and Varun wrote that they were introducing their “little miracle” with Kanha’s blessings.
The couple explained that the name Ved represents sacred knowledge, wisdom and light, and is derived from the Sanskrit word referring to the ancient sacred scriptures of Hinduism.

Karishma and Varun welcomed their son on July 29, 2026, which fell on Guru Purnima.
Announcing the arrival of their baby boy at the time, the couple described his birth as their “greatest blessing” and welcomed him into their world.
The couple later chose Janmashtami, another spiritually significant occasion, to reveal his name.

Karishma announced her pregnancy in April 2026 through a series of photographs on Instagram. She later shared glimpses of her traditional Tulu-style baby shower in May.
