During a recent interview with host Siddharth Kannan, Karan Wahi clarified the context surrounding their relationship and eventual split in 2022 after more than two years of dating.
Responding to claims that the former couple was on the verge of tying the knot, Wahi explained that while he entered the relationship with the long-term intention of marriage due to his age at the time, formal wedding plans were never finalized.
”I was 33-34 when I started dating her. So, I was at an age where I was like this time when I get into a relationship, this has to materialise into marriage. Otherwise I don’t want a relationship,” Wahi shared. “There was nothing called as that we were about to get married or we’ve plans of getting married. I think it was the intention to take it to marriage… I think we were not compatible enough. At least that’s my truth.”
Uditi Singh’s Account Inside the Bigg Boss 20 House
Wahi’s comments follow emotional revelations by Uditi Singh inside the Bigg Boss 20 house. Singh previously recounted how differences during the COVID-19 lockdown—ranging from pet care for their golden retriever to cleanliness habits—led to frequent conflicts. She expressed that an age gap contributed to feeling demotivated within the relationship.
”He was a little dominant… he would say that I could not do things. That I would not be able to finish this work, things like that. Partner hi demotivate kar raha hai (My partner was demotivating me). When stars don’t align, this is what happens,” Singh shared on the show.
Wahi, known for his roles in Remix, Dill Mill Gayye, and Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, maintained that the core issue was fundamentally a lack of compatibility between them.
