Eleven coaches of the 12551 Bangalore-Kamakhya AC Superfast Express derailed near Nergundi Station in the Cuttack-Nergundi Railway Section of Khurda Road Division today at approximately 11:54 AM.
Senior railway officials, including the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Khurda Road and the General Manager of East Coast Railway (ECoR), rushed to the site to oversee relief measures. An Accident Relief Train and a Medical Relief Train were promptly dispatched to provide support.
To ensure passenger convenience, a special train is being arranged to transport stranded passengers to their destinations. Railway authorities have assured that all efforts are being made to address the situation and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
East Coast Railway officials have announced that the following trains have been diverted with immediate effect:
- 12822 (BRAG)
- 12875 (BBS)
- 22606 (RTN)
