In view of the upcoming Dussehra festivities and the student union elections, the Kalimela Police organised a massive flag march today to maintain law and order across the region.
Led by Kalimela Police Station Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) Prabhudatta Biswal, the security personnel marched from the police station premises directly to the Gopabandhu Anchalika Degree College. The proactive deployment aims to deter anti-social elements and prevent potential crimes such as theft, robbery, and physical altercations amidst expected festive crowds.
Focus on Peaceful Student Elections
With the Kalimela Gopabandhu Anchalika Degree College set to host its student union elections, local administration stepped up measures to guarantee a smooth electoral process. IIC Prabhudatta Biswal and Kalimela Tahasildar Ramakrishna Satya Rajguru interacted directly with college students. They strongly emphasised the importance of maintaining a peaceful environment and urged students to strictly refrain from any form of campus violence.
Zero Tolerance for Illegal Substance Trade
Beyond election and festive security, the police administration issued a stern warning against illegal activities. Authorities confirmed that strict surveillance will be maintained to crack down on peddlers and traders dealing in illegal drugs, ganja, narcotics, and illicit liquor.
The joint initiative by the police and civil administration reassures local residents of a secure, harmonious, and celebratory atmosphere throughout the festive and election season.
