Jazeera Airways expanded its India network to 14 destinations, adding Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Mangalore, Kannur, Vijayawada, and Lucknow.
The expansion strengthens connectivity for the Indian diaspora in Kuwait and supports workforce mobility.
All flights currently operate through King Fahd International Airport in Dammam and Qaisumah Airport in Saudi Arabia. Kuwait International Airport remains closed after regional drone and missile strikes damaged infrastructure. The airline shifted operations to Saudi bases to ensure uninterrupted passenger and cargo services.
Since March 20, Jazeera Airways carried more than 11,000 passengers under Project Vande Bharat. The airline also maintained cargo and supply chain flows between Kuwait and India. The Indian Business and Professionals Council in Kuwait praised the airline’s efforts to sustain vital links during the crisis.
The expanded network covers both South and North India, offering direct access to home regions for expatriates. Jazeera’s strategy focuses on high-demand diaspora markets, balancing regional coverage and operational resilience.
Industry experts noted that the dual-base arrangement in Saudi Arabia combines air and ground transport, enabling continuity despite Kuwait’s airport closure. The airline’s growth pattern positions it as a key connector between Kuwait and India.
Future prospects depend on the reopening of Kuwait International Airport. Resumed operations could allow higher flight frequencies and intensify competition with regional and Indian carriers. For now, Jazeera Airways continues to anchor its India expansion through Saudi bases.
