A routine afternoon turned tragic when three young men were swept away while bathing in the Paika River near Krushnanandapur under Tirtol police limits in Jagatsinghpur.
One of the victims, identified as Sishir Kumar Behera, was found dead. The other two remain missing as fire services continue intensive search and rescue operations.
Eyewitnesses reported that the group had entered the river together when a sudden current pulled them under. Locals alerted authorities, prompting an immediate response from emergency teams.
