Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, launched the Bharatiya Bhasha Anubhag (Indian Languages Section) in the capital today.

The initiative aims to provide a robust and organised platform for linguistic diversity, reducing the reliance on foreign languages in governance.

Speaking at the event, Shri Shah emphasised that the true potential of India can be realised only when thinking, analysis, and decision-making processes occur in the country’s native languages. He highlighted the deep connection between all Indian languages, comparing their unity to the convergence of rivers forming the mighty Ganga of Indian culture.

The launch ceremony witnessed participation from several dignitaries, including the Union Home Secretary and the Secretary of the Official Language Department. Shri Shah reiterated that Indian languages are the soul of the country’s culture, and that strengthening regional languages will help India attain its rightful place on the global stage.

Furthermore, he underscored the importance of using technology to enhance the richness and sensitivity of languages without diminishing their essence. The minister expressed confidence that the initiative will play a key role in resisting the imposition of English in governance, ensuring that the administrative framework reflects India’s cultural heritage.

The Bharatiya Bhasha Anubhag stands as a milestone in the journey towards linguistic inclusivity, paving the way for a stronger, more culturally rooted governance system.
