The Odisha Pavilion, inaugurated at the 44th India International Trade Fair being held from November 14 to 27 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, has successfully established commercial connections with major business enterprises from India and abroad.

Reflecting this year’s theme, “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”, a wide range of Odisha’s products, from agricultural goods to handlooms and handicrafts created through indigenous knowledge and skills, has attracted the attention of large business groups as well as government and private institutions from within the country and overseas.

As an outcome of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, along with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s“Odisha Vision 2036” focused on industrialisation & investment, the Odisha Pavilion has achieved significant success during the first five days (November 14–18) of the fair’s designated business period.

During this business period, several interactions took place. Under the MSME Department, Bargarh-based Goumaya Paints held discussions with the Tripura Industries Department, Arihant Paints of Rohtak (Haryana),A.L.M. Enterprises (New Delhi) and RKGD Enterprises(New Delhi). Odisha RajyaTalagudaSamabayaSangha conducted business talks with Delhi-based Harmit Singh. Similarly, Berhampur’s ElateCrunchies engaged in discussions with the Airports Authority of India, Power Grid Corporation, Ashoka Hotel (New Delhi) and Nut Shake.

Under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, the stall of Jashipur Farmers Producers Committee of Mayurbhanj district held talks with representatives from the state of Kerala. Under ORMAS, the Rayagada-based Prerana Self-Help Group, participating with Tumbacrafts, discussed business opportunities with Rudrashil Products of New Delhi.

Additionally, stalls showcasing paddy craft, Saura and Gond tribal paintings, Koraput coffee and products collected-produced-processed by tribal communities—represented by the SC &ST Development Department—as well as various attractive items produced by women self-help groups and producer groups supported by ORMAS and Mission Shakti, became major points of attraction for traders from participating states and countries.

Ministers and senior administrative officials from various states and ministries visited the Odisha Pavilion along with their teams and held discussions with stall representatives about production, supply and distribution procedure of the showcased items. The positive response and high-quality assistance provided by the officials in charge of the pavilion have significantly enhanced the perception of Odisha-made products.

On November 14, Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida inaugurated the pavilion. Yesterday, Deputy Chief Minister Sri KanakVardhan Singh Deo visited the Odisha Pavilion as well as the pavilions of the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, presenting a clear picture of Odisha’s achievements and potential in these sectors. Throughout the business period, notable visitors such as Tripura’s Minister of Industries & Commerce Smt. Santana Chakma, Manipur’s Additional Chief Secretary Sri Anurag Bajpayee, etc. visited the pavilion for strengthening commercial prospects with their respective states.
