A six-member team from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) visited Odisha on February 26 and 27, 2026, to explore collaboration in Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects under the state’s Viksit Odisha 2036 vision.
The IFC delegation, comprising senior PPP specialists and advisors, attended a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg, IAS, at Lok Seva Bhavan on February 26. Secretaries of key infrastructure departments, officials from the PPP Cell, and representatives from the Finance Department joined the discussions.
The meeting focused on building a robust PPP project pipeline for Odisha. Chief Secretary Anu Garg emphasised that Vision 2036 is crucial for positioning Odisha at both national and global levels. She highlighted the immediate need to identify bankable projects in renewable energy, transmission, logistics, transport, urban infrastructure, and e-mobility.
Officials discussed sectoral interventions to attract private investment and accelerate infrastructure growth. The IFC team shared insights on global best practices in PPP frameworks and strategies to strengthen Odisha’s capacity to deliver large-scale projects.
