The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the match officials for the highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final between India and New Zealand.
The summit clash is set to take place on Sunday, 9th March at the Dubai International Stadium.
The experienced team of match officials for the final includes:
- On-field Umpires: Paul Reiffel and Richard Illingworth
- Third Umpire: Joel Wilson
- Fourth Umpire: Kumar Dharmasena
- Match Referee: Ranjan Madugalle
Paul Reiffel, who officiated in the South Africa-New Zealand semi-final in Lahore, will join Richard Illingworth, a four-time ICC Umpire of the Year. Illingworth brings extensive experience from his involvement in the finals of both the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. He also took charge of the Group A match between the finalists, where India secured victory by 44 runs.
India advanced to the final with a thrilling four-wicket win over Australia in the first semi-final, while New Zealand booked their spot with a decisive 50-run victory over South Africa.
The final match will commence at 1:00 PM GST, and cricket fans around the world are eagerly awaiting what promises to be an exciting showdown between two cricketing giants.
