In a swift administrative reshuffle, the Odisha government has rescinded the posting of OAS officer Sri Charles Nayak as Sub-Collector, Balasore, a day after appointing IAS officer Shiv Malviya to the same position.

The cancellation marks a realignment of postings aimed at strengthening governance in the district.

According to Notification No. 25468/SCS dated 25th July 2025, Nayak will continue as Additional Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Boudh, until further orders. The prior appointment was made via Notification No. 25277/SCS on July 24, which has now been withdrawn.
