To enhance the credibility and efficiency of the state’s recruitment system, the Government of Odisha has appointed retired IAS officer Manoj Kumar Mohanty as a member of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
A formal notification was issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, affirming Mohanty’s appointment under clause (1) of Article 316 of the Indian Constitution, aligned with Regulation 5 of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952.
Mohanty, who previously served as Additional Secretary to the Government in the same department, brings decades of administrative experience and insight to the Commission. He will serve for a term of six years from the date of assuming office or until he reaches the age of sixty-two, whichever is earlier.
His induction is expected to strengthen OPSC’s role in shaping a responsive and accountable civil service. The terms of his service will be governed by the provisions of the aforementioned regulations, as amended periodically.
