Hansita Abhilipsa was not only involved in fraud cases but was also allegedly involved in sex trafficking.
As per sources, Abhilipsa used to arrange ‘sex workers’ and young girls for influential persons, businessmen, and politicians to facilitate business agreements or secure political leverage. She would set up these sex workers to satisfy her potential targets, to finally grab a deal or get a tender passed.
These claims arose following an investigation into Abhilipsa’s mobile phone by law enforcement, revealing a murky network. Reports now suggest authorities are set to question individuals who purportedly received these introductions through Abhilipsa.
Meanwhile, confusion continues to surround the true identity of Abhilipsa’s husband. In one instance, she named a businessman Saroj Sahu as her spouse in a bail application. However, in a subsequent petition for regular bail, she referred to Anil Mohanty, who also has been arrested with her, as her husband. Due to these inconsistencies, her interim bail plea has been rejected by the court.
Compounding her legal troubles, Abhilipsa is also accused of concealing her real name. Reportedly, her genuine name is Vishnupriya Chand. A case was registered against her name in 2017 at the Badagada Police Station.
To evade arrest and obtain a passport, she altered her identity and adopted the name of Hansita Abhilipsa, police sources said. More mysteries continue to unravel as authorities deepen their investigation into Abhilipsa and Anil Mohanty’s fraud case.
Earlier, BJP MP Pradeep Purohit had levied Abhilipsa’s connections with BJD. The Bargarh MP alleged that she carried out several corruptions and misappropriation with the help of a former BJD minister from Kalahandi district.
