The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) dismantled a major espionage network and arrested two individuals for allegedly leaking sensitive security information to Pakistani intelligence operatives.

Officials confirmed that the arrests took place during a coordinated operation across two states. ATS teams detained Rashmin Ravindra Pal, identified as the woman spy, from Daman. Simultaneously, they arrested AK Singh, a former Indian Army subedar, from Goa.

Investigators revealed that both accused maintained direct contact with handlers based in Pakistan. They actively engaged in anti-national activities, including gathering and sharing classified details about sensitive locations. Moreover, Singh allegedly facilitated financial support to Pakistani operatives and helped channel funds through the espionage network.

Authorities stated that the duo played a critical role in compromising security-related information. Consequently, ATS has launched a deeper probe to determine the extent of the breach and identify additional individuals linked to the operation.

Senior officials emphasised that the arrests mark a significant breakthrough in counter-espionage efforts. They also noted that the investigation will continue to uncover the full scope of the network and assess the damage caused by the leaked information.

Further investigation is underway, and ATS remains focused on neutralising threats to national security.
