Deogarh: A groom was slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 by the Chhatrapur additional tehsildar for allegedly violating the Covid-19 norms at Kamala Bagicha village in Deogarh district.
As per available information, one M. Papa Rao had organised his marriage function at his home where hundreds of people were present.
Reportedly, the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Odisha government restrict the marriage gatherings at 25.
On being informed, Chhatrapur additional tehsildar Jasmine Pradhan along with the police team reached the spot and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 for violating the covid norms.
