Gold prices in Odisha witnessed a sharp decline today, with rates dropping by nearly Rs 2,000 per 10 grams.

The fall has impacted all major categories of gold.

According to market updates, the price of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 1,54,310 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,41,450 per 10 grams, while 18-carat gold is available at Rs 1,15,730 per 10 grams.

The sudden dip in gold rates has attracted buyers, especially those planning weddings and investments. Traders noted that fluctuations in international markets and currency exchange trends have contributed to the fall.

Jewellers across Odisha reported increased footfall as customers rushed to take advantage of the reduced rates. Analysts believe that the decline may be temporary, and prices could adjust depending on global demand and supply factors.
