New Delhi: The rescue efforts are on and search is being conducted inside the tunnel even as 62 bodies have been recovered till today in Uttarakhand glacial burst.
DGP Ashok Kumar said the rescue agencies have also installed a water sensor warning system at the Raini village to warn for emergencies.
State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) said the agencies have also recovered 28 human organs and their identification is likely to be undertaken shortly.
The teams are also being assisted by JCB officials. The rescue members are pushing out water via pumps in areas where waterlogging is taking place.
A massive tragedy unfolded when a glacier burst in the Tapovan Reni area of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand on February 7. The disaster led to flooding in the Dhauliganga and Alaknanda rivers and also destroyed the Rishiganga power project.
