The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) gears up to celebrate the 7th edition of Poshan Pakhwada from April 8th to 22nd, 2025.
As a part of the Poshan Abhiyaan, this year’s event emphasizes four key themes: the crucial first 1000 days of life, popularization of the Poshan Tracker, tackling malnutrition through community-driven initiatives, and promoting healthy lifestyles to prevent childhood obesity.
Union Minister Smt. Annpurna Devi will visit Arunachal Pradesh to assess ongoing initiatives, while Minister of State Smt. Savitri Thakur will address officers and Anganwadi workers nationwide via webcast. Poshan Pakhwada aims to improve grassroots nutritional outcomes through community outreach, educational programs, and collaboration across Ministries like Rural Development, Health & Family Welfare, and Education. The initiative reflects the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ and seeks to foster a Suposhit Bharat.
The MWCD invites citizens to participate and raise awareness about holistic nutrition, empowering communities to tackle malnutrition and build a healthier future.
