A fire broke out at Eastern Drugs India Private Limited, a pharmaceutical factory in Bhubaneswar’s Mancheswar Industrial Area, on Tuesday morning.
The blaze damaged medicines and furniture inside the premises.
Three fire tenders rushed to the spot and began efforts to control the flames. Thick smoke and fire rising from the unit created panic among locals in the vicinity.
The auto driver of the factory arrived at the scene but claimed ignorance about how the incident started. Authorities confirmed that the cause of the fire remains unknown.
Police reached the site and assisted fire personnel in managing the situation. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far. Officials stated that a detailed investigation will follow to determine the reason behind the fire.
