A devastating fire broke out in the RMC Market Complex near Bhadrak Bypass on Tuesday morning, gutting commercial goods worth lakhs of rupees.

The fire originated in a biscuit and plastic goods warehouse, causing the entire area around the second gate of the market complex to be engulfed in smoke.

The Bhadrak Fire Brigade responded promptly to the incident, but despite their efforts, nothing could be saved from the fire. The blaze destroyed a biscuit warehouse owned by Mohammad Abdul Rahim and a plastic goods warehouse owned by Sheikh Ali Khan.

RMC President and Bhadrak Sub-District Magistrate Saurabh Chakravarthy stated that an investigation would be conducted to determine the cause of the fire. The Deputy Commissioner assured that measures will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. The cause of the fire remains unclear at this time.
