The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on Wednesday unveiled a game-changing initiative for highway commuters: a FASTag-based Annual Pass priced at ₹3,000, aimed at easing travel and reducing toll-related hassles.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced the move via X (formerly Twitter), stating the pass will be available from August 15, 2025, and is designed for non-commercial private vehicles including cars, jeeps, and vans.
Key Features of the FASTag Annual Pass:

Validity: 1 year or 200 trips (whichever comes first)

Coverage Area: Toll plazas within a 60-km radius of the commuter’s home

How to Activate:
A dedicated link for registration, activation, and renewal of the FASTag Annual Pass will be launched ahead of Independence Day.
The move follows similar relief measures like the relocation of the Kherki Daula toll plaza in Gurgaon, which has eased traffic for thousands of Delhi-NCR office-goers.
