Security forces conducted a strategic operation in the Saranda forest region along the Odisha-Jharkhand border in the West Singhbhum district.
The joint effort, led by the Special Task Force (STF) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), successfully dismantled a Maoist hideout.
During the raid, authorities seized four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), each weighing 5 kilograms, alongside detonators, banners, posters, a radio, and other materials associated with Maoist activities. Additionally, 16 Maoist bunkers were destroyed, further disrupting insurgent operations.
This operation aligns with the central government’s proactive efforts to dismantle Maoist influence in the region. Security forces have intensified surveillance and action against insurgency, setting a strong precedent for future operations.
Earlier this year, a similar crackdown uncovered a Maoist health camp near the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border, demonstrating the sustained commitment of security forces to eradicate insurgent operations. These efforts underscore the focus on securing peace and stability in these vulnerable territories.
