The English novel “The Year She Disappeared,” written by Sangram Keshari Senapati, was formally launched at a literary event in Azimabad, Balasore.
The book was unveiled during the “Abhilasha Open Mic” program organised at the Mission Success Institute. Prominent guests, including poet Abhilipsa Padhi, Utkalika Rout, and AP Shubhkant Samal, attended the event.
Published by Shubhapallaba Publications, the novel centres on a college love story and is expected to be released in Odia soon. This marks Senapati’s debut in English literature, adding a new dimension to his literary career.
The event also showcased vibrant participation from young poets and writers in Balasore, who shared their stories and poems. Additionally, the program featured musical performances and stand-up comedy, creating an engaging cultural atmosphere.
Notably, this was the first open mic event organised by Abhilasha in Balasore, and it received an enthusiastic response from both participants and attendees.
Meanwhile, Senapati’s upcoming Odia novel “Cigarette” is scheduled to be released next week by Timepass Publication, further highlighting his growing presence in contemporary literature.
